Belmont Student Who Sent Racist Snapchat Threat To Philadelphia Eagles No Longer At University

Using a racial slur, now-former Belmont student said Eagles players raising fists in protest need "a damn bullet in their head."

NASHVILLE, TN — A Belmont student who sent a Snapchat message that included a racial slur and a threat against three Philadelphia Eagles players is no longer a student at the university.

The picture shows three Eagles — defensive end Steven Means, safety Malcolm Jenkins and cornerback Ron Brooks — kneeling and raising their right fists during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" ahead of Monday night's game against the Bears in Chicago.

The message appended to the photo reads: "Piece of s--- n------. Every one of them needs a damn bullet in their head. If you don't like this country get the hell out." The message quickly spread through campus, eventually getting the attention of the university powers-that-be, who later released a statement confirming the freshman is no longer a student at Belmont.
