Drunken Hit & Run Prompts Cross-County Chase: Nashville Police
A woman hit a dumpster on Gallatin Road and led police on a chase all the way to Green Hills, cursing on the way, according to an affidavit.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police say a woman drunkenly crashed into a dumpster in East Nashville, then sped off, leading officers on a chase that took her deep into Green Hills.
April Taylor, 49, was suspected of hitting the trash receptacle outside of a Gallatin Avenue bar early Wednesday morning. Police spotted her at the I-40/I-440 split around 2 a.m. but, according to an affidavit, Taylor refused to stop and sped into Green Hills.
Driving faster than 60 mph through residential areas, Taylor allegedly cursed at pursuing officers and said she wasn't "going down like this."

After evading spike strips, she eventually pulled over at the Estes Road/Harding Place intersection and stopped for a cigarette.
Taylor was arrested and charged with DUI and evading arrest.
