Garbage Gratuity Grift Galls Green Hills

NASHVILLE, TN -- A conman trying to exploit the holiday goodwill of a Green Hills neighborhood attempted to swindle residents into sending cash to Goodlettsville.

Residents reported finding flyers in their mailboxes this week asking them to send Christmas tips for their trash collectors to a post office box in Goodlettsville. One man approached the garbage crew that works the neighborhood and they said they knew nothing of the flyer and that it's likely a bid to bamboozle.

Nashville's postal inspector told News Channel 5 any money sent to the PO Box will be returned to sender and that the postal service is investigating.
