NASHVILLE, TN — Google Fiber is now available in a larger swath of Nashville, as the company expanded access to its high-speed internet service to neighborhoods stretching from East Nashville to West End.

Single-family homes in East Nashville, Edgehill, Midtown, Music Row, Hillsboro Village, Acklen Park, Sylvan Height and West End/Vanderbilt can now sign-up for the service, which was already available in certain apartment complexes and condominiums downtown and in The Gulch, Germantown, Midtown and East Nashville, as well as single-family homes in Sylvan Park and Charlotte Park.

Google will not be the first gigabit speed service in many neighborhoods — Comcast and AT&T already have their high-speed service rolled out to a significant portion of the county. Google is continuing to offer its TV service in Nashville, despite axing it elsewhere.
