A 17-year-old Hillsboro High student was arrested Friday for pointing a gun at two classmates and having a loaded pistol in his car.

NASHVILLE, TN — A 17-year-old Hillsboro High School senior faces aggravated assault and unlawful gun possession charges, accused of pointing a pistol at two classmates during dismissal Wednesday and having a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol in his car Friday.
The two student victims reported the gun incident to Hillsboro’s school resource officers on Thursday afternoon, police said. Friday morning, Sgt. Scott Hull positioned himself in the parking lot and watched for the 17-year-old to arrive. As the student got out of his car, the officer immediately took him into custody.
Police said the pistol was hidden under the student's dashboard.
