MBA's Ty Chandler Repeats as Mr. Football
Big Red running back Ty Chandler won Mr. Football Back of the Year for Division II-AA
NASHVILLE, TN — For the second time, standout Montgomery Bell Academy running back Ty Chandler was named Mr. Football Back of the Year for Division II-AA at a ceremony Monday at Nissan Stadium.
The Big Red senior and University of Tennessee commitment ran for 2,034 yards and 36 touchdowns this year, leading MBA to a BlueCross Bowl appearance Thursday against Brentwood Academy at 7 p.m. in Cookeville.
Chandler is the first repeat winner from MBA since quarterback Ingle Martin won back-to-back in 1999 and 2000.
