Nashville St. Jude Rock 'N' Roll Marathon: Getting Around Belmont and 12South On Race Day
Some tips on getting in, around and through Belmont and 12South during the marathon.

NASHVILLE, TN — The 2017 edition of the Nashville St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Marathon kicks off at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, April 29, and for those Nashvillians who have no intention of travelling the city by foot, road closures are likely to hamstring some plans for most of the day.
Numerous roads will be closed in the Belmont and 12South areas on race day and several areas will be designated as no-parking zones.

So what will be closed? All of the following will close at 6 a.m.:
- Magnolia southbound between 17th and 20th, 20th between Magnolia and Portland, and Portland between 20th and Belmont will be closed until 9:45 a.m.
- Belmont from Portland and Clifton will be closed until 10:15 a.m.
- Clifton from Belmont to Lealand and Lealand between Clifton and Clayton will be closed until 10:30 p.m.
- Clayton between Lealand and Granny White/12th Avenue South will be closed until 11 a.m.
- 12th Avenue South between Clayton and Wedgewood and Wedgewood between 12th and 16th will be closed until 11:15 a.m.
There will be no parking zones as well, beginning at 10 p.m. Friday:

- Magnolia southbound between 17th and 20th and 20th between Magnolia and Portland until 10 a.m.
- Portland between 20th and Belmont, Belmont between Portland and Clifton, Clifton from Belmont to Lealand, Lealand from Clifton to Clayton and Clayton from Lealand to 12th Avenue until 11 a.m.
- 12th Avenue from Clayton to Wedgewood until 11:15 a.m.
Residents affected by no parking zones may park in the following places from 6 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday:
- Belmont Univ. Parking lot behind Belmont Heights Baptist Church -- 2100 Belmont Blvd
- Christ the King Church -- 3001 Belmont Blvd
- Sevier Park Community Center -- 3021 Lealand Lane
- Waverly Belmont Elementary School -- 2301 10th Ave S
Traffic officers will permit cars to cross the course, when safe, at:
- Belmont Blvd and Paris
- Belmont Blvd and Cedar
- Granny White and Clifton (southbound only)
- Lealand Lane & Gale Lane
- 12th Avenue S & Paris
- Wedgewood and 14th
- Wedgewood and 15th
