Taylor Swift Sings, Shoots Fireball At Surprise Bluebird Show
Taylor Swift returned to her roots Saturday, playing a surprise set at Nashville's legendary Blueblird Cafe.
NASHVILLE, TN -- The legend of Nashville's Bluebird Cafe is built on the before-they-were-stars sets sprinkled across its 35 year history. Seeing such-and-such when they were unknowns is as much as part of the cozy venue's lore as the infamous ban on talking by patrons.
And then, sometimes, after getting big, those performers come back with surprise sets, which too pass into legend. There were 40 or so people at the Bluebird Saturday night. By next week, there could be 40,000 who claimed to be.
Taylor Swift, who signed her first record deal with Big Machine Records after Scott Borchetta saw her perform there as a teenager, returned to the Bluebird Saturday night to sing some songs and shoot a little Fireball with chart-topping songwriter Craig Wiseman.

After singing pop smash "Shake It Off," Swift went back into the country catalog singing her "Love Story" - chiding Wiseman that he passed on the chance to write it with her - and "Better Man," which won a CMA and Grammy for Little Big Town.
