Two-County Chase Ends In Belle Meade

Two men were arrested and another escaped after a two-county car chase ended in Belle Meade early Thursday.

BELLE MEADE, TN -- A two-county car chase ended in Belle Meade early Thursday morning and two men were arrested - including one who tried to escape via Lyft.

Around 1:40 a.m., Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers and Robertson County Sheriff's deputies attempted to pull over a car on Interstate 24 in Robertson County, but the car sped south towards Nashville.

THP and the deputies lost track of the vehicle just south of the I-24/65 split, but troopers once again found the car on Harding Pike near Belle Meade.

Three people jumped out of the car. One was immediately arrested with the assistance of Belle Meade Police. A second ordered a Lyft, according to police, but officers were able to track the car, pull it over and arrest the suspect.
