Vanderbilt Vs. Kansas State Football: Everything You Need To Know

The No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats and their avuncular coach, the legendary Bill Snyder, visit Vanderbilt Saturday night in an intriguing intersectional contest. The Commodores are looking to move to 3-0 and grab a key non-conference win over the undefeated Wildcats. This is the first meeting between the teams since 1984, a 26-14 win for the 'Dores in the home opener. It's the first game in a difficult four game stretch for Vandy with Alabama, Florida and Georgia in the coming weeks.

Tickets: Some tickets are still available on TicketMaster and secondary sites like StubHub.

Parking: Most on-campus parking is reserved for National Commodore Club members, but spots are available in the 25th Avenue Garage at Jess Neely Drive and 25th Avenue for $15. Free parking is available at the Terrace Place and Wesley Place garages off 21st Avenue. There is also limited parking at Centennial Park for early arrivers, some street parking, particularly across West End and a handful of unofficial lots.

Prohibited items: The stadium opens two hours prior to kick-off. Vanderbilt does not allow umbrellas, strollers, selfie sticks, smoking or vaping inside the stadium. Here's the full list of stadium policies.

The school has also adopted the SEC's clear bag policy, which permits:

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
  • One-gallon, clear, re-sealable plastic storage bag
  • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" with or without a handle or strap
  • Medically necessary items (after inspection at designated location)

Traffic: Pre-game campus access for parking is available from West End at 25th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st avenues and from Blakemore at 24th, 25th and Natchez Trace. On game days, Natchez Trace is closed between West End and Dudley Avenue and Jess Neely Drive and Kensington Place are both closed between Natchez Trace and 25th.
