Johnson City's 4th of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

Johnson City's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

JOHNSON CITY, TN — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Johnson City.

Although Johnson City’s fireworks, parade and 5K event have been canceled, they have been replaced with a May The Fourth Be With You Virtual 4k event. This virtual race is designed for Star Wars fans, and allows participants to run or walk anywhere and anytime between June 4th and midnight on July 4th.
