Keep Knoxville Beautiful To Host A Trash Run For Earth Day On April 22

This non-competitive fun run and litter pickup is for runners/walkers of all ages.

Keep Knoxville Beautiful will be hosting its spring Trash Run on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. in celebration of Earth Day. The event will kick off at Albright Grove Brewing, 2924 Sutherland Avenue.

The Trash Run is a non-competitive fun run and litter pickup for runners/walkers of all ages. There is no designated route for the event; rather participants are encouraged to spend an hour running or walking and collecting litter in the area. Keep Knoxville Beautiful will provide maps, gloves, safety vests, and litter-pickers.

After the cleanup, volunteers are invited back to Albright Grove where they will receive their first beer discounted as well as the chance to win prizes. Participants can sign up at keepknoxvillebeautiful.org/upcoming.

Prizes include: beer and a t-shirt from Albright Grove, a Holly’s Gourmet Market gift card, gift cards from the Runners Market, a t-shirt and a gift card from Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, and a gift basket and free drink from Backroads Market. Participants will receive prize entry tickets for each bag of trash they collected during the event.
