Virtual Public Meeting Set For Feb. 1 On Inskip Affordable Housing

A 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, public meeting has been scheduled to discuss a proposal to building affordable housing apartment buildings in Inskip.

A development team led by David and Jake Varner of Southeast Capital LLC is proposing construction of 33 two-bedroom apartments and 33 three-bedroom apartments, most to be located at 806 E. Inskip Drive, with one apartment building proposed at 4810 Elder Road.

The apartment complex would be affordable housing, and the developers are requesting assistance through the City’s Affordable Rental Development Fund. Southeast Capital LLC was formed specifically to develop and build affordable housing.

At this public meeting, facilitated by the City’s Office of Neighborhood Empowerment on Zoom, an overview of the project will be presented, and stakeholders who wish to ask questions or make comments about the proposal may do so.
