2 Workers At Smyrna Nissan Plant Injured In Fall

One worker was flown to Vanderbilt and another take by ambulance after a fall Tuesday morning behind Smyrna's Nissan plant.

SMYRNA, TN — Two workers at the Nissan factory in Smyrna were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a fall Tuesday morning.

The men were working for an equipment demolition contractor.

One man was taken by LifeFlight and the other by ambulance after the fall at 9:30 a.m. It is not clear what the men fell from.

"We are aware of the incident earlier today behind the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant involving an equipment demolition contractor. Our thoughts and prayers are with the individuals, their families and the medical personnel caring for them. We are waiting to learn additional information as authorities investigate this incident," a Nissan spokesman told Patch.
