3 New Restaurants Coming to La Vergne
La Vergne Taco John's will be Middle Tennessee's first.
LA VERGNE, TN — Three new restaurants are bound for La Vergne, city officials announced Wednesday. The trio includes Middle Tennessee's first location of made-to-order Mexican fast-food chain Taco John's.
The Taco John's, along with a second Checker's location, will be at the corner of Jordan Drive and Murfreesboro Road near the SunTrust Bank branch, while Dunkin' Donuts will locate at the corner of Floyd Mayfield and Murfreesboro Road near the post office.
"We are happy to be able to fulfill our citizens' requests for more restaurants in La Vergne. We hope to make more announcements about additional retail stores and restaurants in the near future," Alderman Melisa Brown said in a statement released by the city.

Cheyenne, Wyo.-based Taco John's operates 380 restaurants in 24 states but only two in Tennessee. The La Vergne location will be operated by Richard Reeves and Larry Lavigne, who are also the franchisees of the Checker's, according to the Daily News Journal.
