Smyrna Standoff Ends Peacefully
Smyrna Police said an armed man barricaded inside a home surrendered late Monday morning.
SMYRNA, TN -- An armed standoff in Smyrna ended peacefully late Monday morning.
Police were called to a home near Hazelwood and Tarrytown Road shortly before 9 a.m. Monday. An armed man was reportedly barricade inside the house. Children were also inside the home, according to police.
The Smyrna Police Department SWAT team was called to the scene. No shots were fired and the man eventually gave himself up around 11:30 a.m.
