La Vergne Pursuit Ends With Rollover, Dog Bite In South Nashville
A man with "multiple warrants" led police on a chase from La Vergne and across the county line into Metro, police say.

LA VERGNE, TN -- A man with numerous warrants sped from La Vergne into Davidson County Tuesday night, eventually crashing his car, biting a police officer and getting bit himself, according to police.
La Vergne Police spotted an SUV in a construction zone late Tuesday and began following it. Eventually it left town and headed for the county line, police say. Once in South Nashville, the driver pulled onto Elysian Fields Road, threw the vehicle in reverse and sped away, eventually rolling over the SUV.

The driver, Jonathan Hutchinson, attempted to run away, but was taken down by a La Vergne K-9. Hutchinson, who was apparently bitten by the dog, then allegedly bit a (human) La Vergne officer. Hutchinson was hospitalized, the officer was not seriously injured.
La Vergne Police said Hutchinson is wanted in several counties.
