La Vergne Sets Veterans Day Event
La Vergne's annual Veterans Day commemoration will be 11 a.m. on Nov. 11.
LA VERGNE, TN — The annual La Vergne Veterans Day Ceremony will be Saturday, November 11 starting at 11 a.m.
The ceremony will take place at Veterans Park at the Memorial Wall. Rachel Sullivan will sing the national anthem and speakers will include Mayor Dennis Waldron, Alderman Calvin Jones and Army veteran Chris Oakley.
The city will also be displaying flags for veterans and active duty members in the "Field of Freedom". These flags can be purchased for $10 by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 615-793-3224.
