SMYRNA, TN — The pattern of unseasonable warmth mixed with storms followed by a quick cool-off will continue this week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for La Vergne and Smyrna. South winds that bring warm air and storms will flip Wednesday, bringing back cool air and clear skies. Monday: A 60 percent chance of showers before noon, then cloudy, high of 56. Mostly cloudy overnight with a 60 percent chance of showers after midnight, low of 53.

Tuesday: Warmer with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, high of 73. South winds of 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph. A 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, otherwise cloudy with a low of 62. Winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust to 25 mph.

Wednesday: An 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, high of 70. South winds of 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph, will turn around to the north. A 30 percent chance of showers after sundown, primarily before midnight, then mostly cloudy and cooler with a low of 38. Winds of 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph.

Thursday: Sunny with a high of 53. Mostly clear after dark, low of 34.
