La Vergne Urges Water Conservation
With another round of cold weather moving in, La Vergne is asking residents to discontinue "nonessential" water usage.

LA VERGNE, TN -- A combination of higher-than-normal demand and colder-than-normal temperatures has prompted the City of La Vergne to implement voluntary water conservation measures.
"We have determined that water conservation is needed at this time in order to protect the integrity of our supply and distribution system because of the high demand we are currently seeing," the city said in an email.
During the most recent blast of cold temperatures, water mains throughout the Midstate burst, causing icy road conditions even without precipitation coming from the sky.
