Nashville Police Sergeant Arrested In La Vergne

A Metro Police sergeant is on desk duty following an arrest in La Vergne over the weekend.

LA VERGNE, TN -- A Metro Police sergeant is on desk duty after a weekend assault arrest in La Vergne.

Sgt. Jason Wilkerson was decommissioned following an aggravated assault charge stemming from "an alleged verbal argument between Wilkerson and a male friend that turned physical," according to an MNPD statement.

Wilkerson, 37, is a 15-year MNPD veteran who supervised the Central Precinct’s Crime Suppression Unit of undercover detectives.
