Treacherous road conditions in rural parts of the county will keep schools in Rutherford County closed once again.
MURFREESBORO, TN — With slick road conditions persisting in rural parts of the county, Rutherford County Schools will be closed Monday, January 9.
Though the sun shone most of the weekend, temperatures never cracked freezing, so the hilly and shady roads, particularly in outlying parts of the county, remain unsafe for buses.
With warmer temperatures and southern winds coming Monday, chances are good classes will resume Tuesday.
