Here are important dates to know for the spring semester for Rutherford County Schools.
MURFREESBORO, TN — Rutherford County Schools students return to class after Christmas break Wednesday, January 4, beginning the spring half of the 2016-17 academic year. Here are some key dates to remember for the second semester.
- January 4: First day of second semester
- January 12: Second 9 weeks report cards issued
- January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school
- February 2: Half-day for students
- February 8-10: Progress reports issued
- February 20: Presidents Day, schools closed
- March 9: Half-day for students
- March 10: End of third 9 weeks
- March 16: Third 9 weeks report cards issued
- March 21: Parent/Teacher Conferences, Pre-K through 5th Grade
- March 23: Parent/Teacher Conferences, 6th through 12th Grade
- March 27 - March 31: Spring Break
- April 11-13: Progress reports issued
- April 14: Good Friday, no school
- May 25: Teacher work day, no school
- May 26: Two-hour day for students, last day of school
