Rutherford County Teacher Accused Of Selling Alcohol To Students
A Siegel High School Spanish teacher is suspended while the school district investigates allegations she was selling alcohol to students.

MURFREESBORO, TN -- A Rutherford County high school Spanish teacher is suspended as the district investigates allegations she sold alcohol to students.
The district confirmed that Siegel High School's Alix Morales was suspended without pay May 17 after information surfaced that she provided alcohol to students and then discussed the sale with them in the school's hallway.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office is also investigating.

Morales, who teaches honors Spanish II and AP Spanish language and culture according to SHS's website, is suspended through at least May 25.

If the district finds the accusations unfounded, she will be paid for the length of her suspension. If the investigation finds the accusations to be true, however, Morales could face stiffer penalties, including dismissal. She can appeal her suspension.
