Rutherford County Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.9 Percent

The unemployment rate in Rutherford County dropped to 3.9 percent in July, down 0.2 from the June rate, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.

That gives Rutherford County the third-lowest unemployment rate in the state, trailing just neighboring Williamson (3.6 percent) and Davidson (3.7).

In the last year, the county rate has dropped 1.2 percent.

The state rate, reported last week, is 4.3 percent, up 0.2 percent from June's adjusted rate.
