Rutherford Teacher Accused Of Selling Kids Booze Won't Be Back
The Siegel High School teacher accused of selling alcohol to students did not have her contract renewed and her license is on hold.

MURFREESBORO, TN -- The Rutherford County high school teacher accused of selling alcohol to students will not return to the district next year and her teaching license is on hold, according to the state department of education.
Alix Morales, a Spanish teacher at Siegel High School, was suspended without pay May 17 after information surfaced that she provided alcohol to students and then discussed the sale with them in the school's hallway.

The district said the investigation against Morales, who taught honors Spanish II and AP Spanish language and culture according to SHS's website, was "inconclusive," but her contract was not renewed nevertheless.
Because the investigation was inconclusive, she will have her pay restored for the time of her suspension. The Tennessee Department of Education informed the school district Morales' license is on hold.
