Smyrna Parks Named Best in the South by Sports Group
Lee Victory Park and Volunteer Park named Southern Region Complex of the Year by the Independent Sports Association.
LAS VEGAS, NV — The Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department left Sin City with some hardware. At the annual convention of the Independent Sports Association, the department received a top regional award.
Lee Victory Recreation Park and Volunteer Park were named as the Southern Region Complex of the year for 2016. Smyrna Adult Softball in conjunction with Tennessee ISA has hosted the Tennessee State tournament for five years and several national and regional events.
ISA president Mike Caldwell commented on the quality of the complexes, the atmosphere of the community and the helpfulness of the parks staff at these events.
