If you haven’t heard by now, Grind City Brewing, the new downtown location of Wiseacre Brewing Co., and Hampline Brewing, located on the Hampline bike path, have taken the Memphis scene by storm — and with good reason. The scenery? Amazing. The drinks? Also amazing. The best part? You can spend time outdoors with friends and family, taking in the views and sipping the brews — living like a true Memphian.

Walk Across the Mighty Mississippi
Even though Big River Crossing isn’t the newest kid on the block, it’s still something that not a lot of 901 folks know about. In fact, Big River Crossing is the longest pedestrian bridge across the Mississippi River. Wanting to explore further? The Big River Trail is a 70-mile graded path that’s on top of the Mississippi River levees, and it can be accessed on Broadway in West Memphis.
SB TIP: If you’re on the bridge at night, be sure to stay for Mighty Lights, a nightly light show that happens at every hour and half-hour from sundown until 10:30 p.m.
Take a Tour
Love to ride bikes and love the city of Memphis? You’re in luck. Backbeat Tours‘ Memphis Bike Tour is a guided tour led by a knowledgeable and fun guide who will teach you all about the city. A single-rider ticket is $25 and includes the bike, helmet, a bottle of water and an access code for use of the Explore bike during the tour. Each tour lasts two hours and is approximately six miles.
