The Instinct Performing at the International Blues Challenge 2019

Chicago Music Award 2018 recipient and young Blues band The Instinct will be heading once again to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge in January, 2019. They will be representing Canada South Blues Society in the Youth Category. Last year, they brought the house down at Rum Boogie and this year, they are coming back with more classic and contemporary blues, showing a love and deep respect for the genre, but also bringing their own stamp on old and new classics as well as original tunes. The group is made of both Chicagoland and Windsor members. The energetic group includes Grady Caplin (guitar), Adem Dalipi (guitar & vocals), Donovan Lawnicki (Bass & vocals), Stacy “Groove Girl” Norris (drums), and Aval Stanley (keyboard & blues harp). These talented Blues musicians closed out their Fall season with the Crown Point Blues, Brews, and BBQ event in October with classic and contemporary blues as well as original music. Some of their 2018 highlights include: International Blues Challenge 2018 in Memphis (Rum Boogie Café & BB King’s Blues Club), Jeff Burrow’s Drum Marathon in Windsor, Hometown Festival in Palatine, International Festival of Life, Windsor Blues Festival, Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center Summer Series, Illinois State Fair, Basecamp Holidaze, just to name a few. You can follow these incredible musicians at theinstinctband.com and see for yourself why they are considered one of the up and coming young bands in the Midwest area and beyond, keeping the blues alive for the next generation.
