Countdown to IBC for the Instinct band

Keeping the Blues alive for younger generations

The Instinct is one of the youth groups heading down to Memphis next week for the International Blues Challenge 2019. This young group consists of Grady Caplin (guitar), Adem Dalipi (guitar & vocals), Aval Stanley (keyboards & harp), Stacy “Groove Girl” Norris (drums), and Donovan Lawnicki (bass & vocals). The members are all between 15-18 and will be representing Canada South Blues Society bringing classic and contemporary blues as well as originals with musicianship, passion, and emotion beyond their age. This will be the Instinct’s second year in the capital of the Blues, honored to be able to showcase their unique style and love for a genre that has allowed them to learn about American music in general, make connections and friendships, watch, and learn from some of the best in the business. Bluesmen and women from the U.S. and from all over the world will congregate right here in and around Beale Street to give their own unique interpretation and take on the blues. The Instinct is excited to be part of this experience of a lifetime. Come on by and catch these outstanding performers during the January 25th Youth showcases (check for schedule on IBC site) and see for yourself how they are keeping the blues alive and red hot for younger generations.
