While the water pressure problems have not yet been resolved by Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW), the utility continues to work to repair the system. Water pressure levels that dropped Thursday night to the point that passenger operations were no longer feasible have not yet recovered.
The airport continues to explore additional short-term measures to restore services to MEM.
Cargo operations have not been affected by passenger terminal closure.
Passengers are advised that restroom availability is limited and airline schedules will likely change throughout the day as the carriers adjust to today’s opening time. The airlines are responsible for all aspects of ticketing and scheduling. Temporary ADA compliant restrooms will be available inside the airport in certain locations. Additional airport staff will be on hand to assist and direct passengers.
