Preschoolers Participate in Trike-A-Thon to Benefit St. Jude

Children at The Goddard School Help Raise $5,000 to Benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital

The Goddard School’s 8th annual St. Jude Trike-a-Thon raises $5,000 this year for the children’s hospital, a leader in research and treatment methods for patients with cancer. This brings the school’s total to over $31,000 in donations to the hospital.

“We are proud to host our annual St. Jude Trike-a-Thon, which has become a community event, teaching trike safety skills and the importance of being a good citizen,” said Cathy Jo Mattson, on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Collierville. “We are proud to continue validating for the children the value of goodwill and caring for others. Adding vehicles, horses and a drum corps to the event simply adds to the learning excitement.”

The children and teachers recognize the significance of giving back and being a part of their community through aiding those less fortunate. At The Goddard School, laying the foundation to good citizenship is fostered through the development of four essential skills: friendship, compassion, cooperation and kindness.
