Nashville Hotel Shooting Kills 1

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 24-year-old man was shot dead outside a Nashville hotel Thursday night.

Police were already on the scene at the Ravin Hotel on Brick Church Pike responding to another call when they heard gunshots around 7:30 p.m.

Officers found 24-old D'Twaun Moore dead and a second person injured. The injured person was taken to Skyline Medical Center.

Witnesses told the officers 57-year-old Lawrence Sails shot Moore and then, along with an unidentified woman, ran into Room 219 where he lives; investigators say they found a handgun in the room. Sails is charged with criminal homicide. He reportedly refused to be interviewed.

Detectives did not have information on a motive.
