NASHVILLE, TN - The Nashville Parks and Recreation Department has plenty of free events for the whole family to enjoy this weekend. See what made the list.

Bird Friendly Coffee Social is an event for coffee lovers to gather and chat about their mutual love of feathered creatures. It's free to attend, and it's running from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. It will be held at the Shelby Nature Center and there is no registration required.

Spectator / Creator: Free Workshop for Pre-Schoolers and their Families is a free workshop offered by the Metro Parks Dance and Theater divisions. It's a chance for pre-schoolers and their families to express their inner creativity through art and dance. No registration required.

Pickin' on Privet is a chance for the community to come together and protest the removal of native plants from Nashville parks. It's from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and is open to adults and kids ages 13 and up. The event is free to attend, but does require registration ahead of time.

Turkeys Gone Wild is an event held by Nashville Parks & Rec department where community member can register to learn about these wild birds and observe them in their natural habitat. It's from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Registration is required. If interested, call 615-862-8539.

Encore! Silly Grandpa and Mizz KT and Friendz is a family-oriented, 70's inspired concert consisting of 'Silly Grandpa,' a two-time Grammy award winning artist and children's entertainer.
