After 5 Jameson & Red Bulls, A DUI Charge For Hendersonville Cop
A Hendersonville police officer is on desk duty after a DUI and weapons charge in Nashville last week.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A Hendersonville police officer is on desk duty after an early-morning DUI arrest in Nashville last week.
Metro Police pulled over Derick Brewer, 24, for speeding just after 5 a.m. June 21. According to an affidavit, Brewer smelled of booze, stumbled as he got out of his car and showed other "indicators of impairment."
Brewer allegedly admitted to drinking five Jameson and Red Bulls during his night out and told the officer there was a Glock handgun inside his vehicle.

Brewer agreed to a breath test, according to the arrest report, and blew a 0.103 and 0.108.

He is charged with DUI and possession of a weapon while under the influence. He is on administrative leave from the Hendersonville Police Department and restricted to office duty.
