Celebrity WOW Houses: Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Other Country Stars Homes On Nashville Market

Tim and Faith's historic ranch, Big Kenny's big house, and Dolly, Tanya and Tammy's old homes are all available in the Nashville area.

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill's 600-acre estate

If country music has a royal couple, it's widely beloved Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who between them have sold more than 80 million records.

That boffo sales number is why the powerful pair — whose Soul2Soul Tour is one of the five top-grossing concert tours of all time — are able to own some absolutely stunning properties.

Tim and Faith recently debuted their estate on a 20-acre private island in the Bahamas, giving a tour to Architectural Digest and explaining how the island was so remote, they essentially had to build "a little town," complete with all the infrastructure such a place would require. Back home in Tennessee, the couple are selling their 622 acre estate on Carters Creek Pike in rural Williamson County for $18.5 million and have been doing so for more than 900 days.

Befitting a noble estate, this one has some lineage. The centerpiece of the property is Beechwood Hall, a 6,856 square-foot Greek Revival and Italianate plantation home built in 1856 by Sophronia Hunter Mayberry and Henry George Washington Mayberry. Beechwood was one of the largest plantations in Williamson County and the property — which was originally part of the land grant given to Revolutionary War lieutenant colonel Hardy Murfree, namesake of Murfreesboro — stayed in the family until the mid-20th century. Country music legend Hank Williams Sr. purchased the house and more than 500 acres in 1951, but beset by financial problems, only owned it for a year, selling it to Truman Ward, owner of Nashville's influential WLAC AM.

Tim and Faith, however, spend most of their time on the country retreat — the couple's main residence is a 22,000 square-foot mansion in Nashville — in a restored, 3,300 square-foot log cabin built between 1800 and 1850. Known as the Samuel Morton House, it, like Beechwood Hall, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The estate also includes two caretakers' homes and two guest cabins, plus a 12-stall barn.

The property covers several tax parcels and thus has four listings with photos on Realtor.com (one, two, three and four).

Tanya Tucker's old haunt

Address: 6286 Cox Road, Arrington

At $12.5 million, this home — The Hideaway At Arrington, once owned by country music legend Tanya Tucker — is one of the most expensive homes currently on the market in Williamson County. It's being marketed as a development property — it's 126.75 acres, so why not?. Nevertheless it's spent more than two years on the market — 856 days to be exact — and nary a developer or well-heeled buyer has ponied up the price. In addition to the 5,400 square-foot all-brick home, the property has a hay barn and a party barn, plus cattle gates and dog kennels. See the full listing here.

Big Kenny's big spread

When it comes to country duo Big & Rich, well, they are. John Rich may have the more (in)famous home, but Big Kenny's is more expensive. Big Kenny designed and built the home he calls "Chateau di Amore" or the "University of Creativity" in 2007, but plans on making a move. Or at least he did when he listed the home nearly a year ago. He's also asking nearly twice what the home is appraised for, according to the latest figures from the Assessor of Property, which value the Green Hills uber-mansion at "just" $5.2 million, more or less.
