Country Singer Walker Hayes' Newborn Daughter Dies
Walker Hayes canceled his CMA Fest appearances and upcoming performances after his newborn daughter died Wednesday.

NASHVILLE, TN – Walker Hayes' newborn daughter died Wednesday just hours after her birth, the country singer announced in a statement.
"It is with great sadness that Laney and I share the news that Oakleigh Klover Hayes was born this morning at the hospital and now is safely in heaven. Thank you for honoring our privacy as we grieve," the 38-year-old Hayes wrote on Twitter.

The Hayeses, who live in Franklin, have six children. Walker Hayes canceled all of his upcoming performances, including the remainder of his appearances during the weekend's CMA Fest.

Hayes, a Mobile, Ala. native, was scheduled to perform at Wednesday night's CMT Music Awards, where he was nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year for the clip of his first platinum-selling single "You Broke Up With Me."
