Febreze Doesn't Stop K9 From Sniffing Out 60 Pounds Of Pot: MNPD

With the help of a K9, Metro Police say they found 60 pounds of marijuana in luggage on an LAX-BNA flight.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Neither vacuum-sealed bags nor a heavy dose of Febreze could keep a Nashville K9 from his appointed duty Thursday, as Metro Police say Boston sniffed out nearly 60 pounds of marijuana in two suitcases at Nashville International Airport.

Investigators received a tip that a large shipment of pot was heading to the Music City on a flight from Los Angeles. Once the flight landed, MNPD set Boston to sniffing and the dog indicated drugs were in a pair of suitcases.

Inside the luggage: 51 vacuum-sealed bags that had been heavily sprayed with Febreze, according to an affidavit, and containing 59.4 pounds of marijuana.
