Grand Ole Opry Announces Musical Acts for New Year's Eve Celebration

Three iconic singer-songwriters have been added to the night's lineup. Tickets go on sale Oct. 21.

The Grand Ole Opry House has announced its line-up of musical entertainment for New Year's Eve.

"Get ready to ring in 2017 with three of the finest singer-songwriters Music City has to offer," Grand Ole Opry staff said in an announcement this week.

John Prine and Jason Isbell will be joining forces to headline the night's celebration.

Most recently, the two iconic performers shared the stage during Prine's two-night run at the Ryman Auditorium. Prine also presented Isbell with his Album of the Year award for "Something More Than Free" at the American Music Honors and Awards show in September.

Prine and Isbell will be joined by country star Kacey Musgraves, who will release a Christmas album on Oct. 28. Musgraves also appears on Prine's new album of duets, called "For Better or Worse."

Tickets for the New Year's Eve event go on sale Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. via Ryman.com. Ticket prices range from $75-250.
