Have you met the Characters of Character

Are you struggling for new ways to teach vital core values to children? Did you know that Joni will visit your classroom, library or community with your favorite Characters of Character? It's true! All the characters are 'live' in costume and the children relate to them as you can imagine. What a fun and simple way to introduce our nine core values. Meet the Characters of Character:

4. Healthy Hippo teaches healthy habits

5. Manners Monkey teaches good manners

6. Respectful Rabbit teaches respect

9. Warm-Hearted Walrus teaches kindness

Joni teaches on the trait you choose with a short story, a discussion and then the children paint the character on canvas to bring it to life and bring it home to display as a visual reminder. Then, if you choose, the character can make an appearance which helps the child relate to the trait and embrace the character! I can't tell you how much fun this is to do with the children. This is a true story, at one visit, there was a little boy who said to the teacher, "I already know it's a person in a costume" and my mouth hit the floor! Well, the look on his face when the teacher walked into the classroom holding the character Friendship Frogs hand will be forever embedded in my mind! We took a group photo and the teacher sent me an email that the class didn't even want to go out to recess, they wanted to write Friendship Frog a letter to say thank you for coming to visit them!
