Hillsboro Village Welcomes Hayes Thomas PLC’s New Building

Prominent law firm, Hayes Thomas PLC, recently revealed the construction of their new office space in Hillsboro Village and it is far from your average building. Spearheaded by founding members Larry Hayes, Jr. and Rachel Thomas, the firm’s new space is rooted in education, sustainability, and history.

Hayes Thomas PLC, which focuses on high-profile, complicated divorce cases at both the trial and appellate levels, are leaving behind their downtown spot of 3 decades to start anew in 2022. The building will be located directly between Vanderbilt Law School and Belmont College of Law allowing them to continue their uplifting nature for aspiring and rising lawyers.

In addition to the academically inspired location, the building also boasts a “green roof.” This environmentally-friendly roof, believed to be the first of its kind in the Hillsboro Village area, is a custom-designed outdoor event space that furthers the firm’s dedication to a long-term sustainable future. Every aspect of the location and architecture has been carefully crafted with the utmost respect and care for the community.

Not only rooted in the community but the location is also entrenched in Larry Hayes, Jr,’s family history. The land was once owned by his great grandfather, Oliver Bliss Hayes, a prominent Nashville lawyer, and minister, who had conveyed the land to his daughter, Adelicia Acklen, in order for her to construct Belmont Mansion. Hayes expresses, “I wanted the new and permanent location to have significance and meaning behind it. Since the land was once owned by my great grandfather, this location not only has sentimental value to me but also is an exciting and welcomed change for our entire team.” Rachel Thomas adds, “Our team is dedicated to continuing to serve the Nashville community wholeheartedly through our work with passion and integrity.”
