Man Orders Fries To-Go After Downtown Nashville Stabbing: Police

A man was stabbed in the head during a fight outside a downtown Nashville bar and his alleged attacker made a to-go order before his arrest.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Yes, he would like fries with that arrest.

A 31-year-old man allegedly ordered French fries and water after stabbing another man during a fight outside a Nashville bar early Thursday.

According to Metro Police, Dustin O'Brien and another man were drinking inside The Diner when they agreed to take things outside for a fight, during which O'Brien pulled a knife and stabbed the other man, who was not identified, in the head.

Diner management disputes that the men were ever inside the multi-floor establishment simultaneously and said there was no confrontation inside the bar, but they did say after the fight, O'Brien ordered fries and a water before he walked outside where he was arrested, charged with aggravated assault and public intoxication.

The other man was treated for head injuries at the scene.
