Missing Elderly Woman's Body Found In Cumberland River
Metro Police found the body of a missing elderly woman in the Cumberland River shortly after she was reported missing early Monday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- The body of an elderly Nashville woman reported missing early Monday was found in the Cumberland River, according to Metro Police.
Shortly after midnight, the woman was reported missing from Claiborne Street and police began searching the area for the woman and her car.
The car was found around 1:30 a.m. on Cement Plant Road, just north of downtown. Officers walked to the bank of the river and saw a woman's body 10 to 15 feet away from the shore.

The Nashville Fire Department helped retrieve the body, which was identified as the missing woman. Police do not suspect foul play.
