MNPD Detectives Pursuing Strong Leads In Saturday Night's Murder Of Ernest Johnson

Detectives are pursuing strong leads in Saturday’s 10:30 p.m. fatal shooting of Ernest Johnson, 26, outside an apartment in the 100 block of Charles E. Davis Boulevard in the J.C. Napier Homes.

The suspect and a woman were arguing when Johnson confronted him. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot Johnson multiple times before fleeing on a motorcycle. Johnson was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
