Nashville 12-Year-Old Missing After Giving Mom The Slip Downtown
Javontez Staten ran away from his mother's car in downtown Nashville Saturday night.

NASHVILLE, TN — A 12-year-old Nashville boy is still missing after escaping from his mother downtown Saturday night.
Javontez Staten, who police said has run away several times before, fled from his mother’s car Saturday and she reported him missing Sunday. Efforts to locate Javontez thus far have been unsuccessful.

During previous runaway incidents, Javontez was found in his Indiana Avenue neighborhood in West Nashville.
