Though spotty storm chances dot the front half of the work week, temperatures will be down into the 80s across Middle Tennessee.

The exchange for that is contending with near-constant half-hearted rain chances. Things warm up - and dry out, because, of course - by the end of the week.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m., high of 83. Mostly cloudy after dark with a 30 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m., low of 69.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and storms after 8 a.m., otherwise partly sunny, high of 87. Mostly cloudy overnight with a 40 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m., low of 71 .

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m., high of 90. Partly cloudy after sundown with a 30 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m., low of 70.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, high of 93. Partly cloudy in the evening, low of 70.
