Nashville Area Weather Forecast: A Cooler Weekend?
A rainy and stormy Friday will keep the heat index up across Middle Tennessee, but things cool off a touch Saturday and Sunday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- It might actually cool off some this weekend, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Friday's high will slide back into the 80s, but humidity associated with storms will keep the heat index up, but things will legitimately cool off Saturday and Sunday.
Friday: A 70 percent chance of showers and storms, otherwise mostly cloudy, high of 89 with heat indices as high as 97. Mostly cloudy in the evening with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms before 1 a.m., low of 70.
Saturday: Mostly sunny and a bit cooler, high of 88. Partly cloudy overnight and nice, low of 69.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers and storms, high of 90. Partly cloudy after sundown, low of 71.
