July rolls on in Middle Tennessee with highs in the 90s and occasional storm chances this week.

NASHVILLE, TN -- It'll be a standard fare Midstate summer week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Highs will stay in the 90s and there's an occasional rain chance, but at least the heat index won't stray into the triple digits (though it'll get mighty close).
Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m., otherwise mostly sunny, high of 91 with a heat index as high as 97. Partly cloudy in the evening with a 20 percent chance of showers and storms before 10 p.m., low of 74.
Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and storms, otherwise partly sunny, high of 91 with a heat index up to 98. Partly cloudy overnight with a 20 percent chance of showers and storms, low of 74 .

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, high of 92. Mostly clear and nice after sundown, low of 69.
Thursday: Sunny, high of 92. Clear in the evening, low of 70.
