NASHVILLE, TN -- Middle Tennessee's usual summertime pattern continues this week, ccording to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Highs will stay in the 90s and every afternoon brings at least a chance of showers and storms.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and storms after 1 p.m., otherwise mostly sunny, high of 91 with heat indices as high as 99. Mostly cloudy in the evening, low of 74.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and storms, otherwise mostly sunny, high of 92. Partly cloudy overnight, low of 74.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, high of 92. Mostly cloudy after sundown with a 20 percent chance of showers, low of 73.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and storms, high of 90. Mostly cloudy in the evening with a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, low of 72.
