Nashville Detectives Working To ID Gunman Responsible For May 18 Fatal Shooting On Delta Avenue
Douglas Crawley, 38, was killed near Ninth Avenue North by the male driver of a black SUV with chrome trim.

Homicide Unit detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the gunman responsible for the May 18 fatal shooting of Douglas Crawley, 38, on Delta Avenue near 9th Avenue North.

Crawley reportedly walked down an alley from his apartment in the 1500 block of 9th Avenue North to Delta Avenue where he began speaking to the male driver of a black SUV with chrome trim, possibly a newer model Infiniti QX60. The driver then produced a handgun and fired multiple shots toward Crawley who ran back toward his apartment, collapsing in the front yard. He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
